Our band gives musicians a chance to have fun and make some great music!
- All musicians are welcome regardless of age or experience, as long as you can read music and rehearse on your own. Auditions are not necessary and you do not need to be a Fauquier County resident. If you haven't played in a while, you're welcome to just participate in rehearsals until you feel comfortable performing in concerts.
- We welcome all percussion, brass or woodwinds. Brass and woodwind players, please bring an instrument.
- To participate in concerts, you need to attend most rehearsals prior to the concert.
- For instrument repairs, instrument rentals, or lessons, check out the local businesses with which some of our members are affiliated.
- Contact us for more information.
Rehearsals are Mondays, 7-8:30 PM
Our regular rehearsal location is Fauquier High School (behind Food Lion) 705 Waterloo Rd. Warrenton, VA 20186 |
When you arrive, use the main driveway on the right (east) side of the school across from Van Roijen Street. When you are forced to go right or left, go right. Park as close to the building as you can and use door #D10. This is the same door that leads to the auditorium lobby. The new band room is the first door on the right across from the auditorium.

Since we are rehearsing at Fauquier High School, all new members (except Fauquier school employees and students) are requested to register with the school as a “volunteer”. Please visit the school office during their normal business hours (or when they have special evening hours for this purpose) and fill out a Volunteer Registration Form. They will scan your driver’s license and do a computer check on it. More information about this is in their Volunteer Guidelines. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Covid mitigation requirements
In light of the recent reduction in infections rates, changes to the Fauquier County Schools policy, and modifications to masking requirements across most of the United States, effective March 9, 2022: “Covid-19 precautions are now at the discretion of individual members.”
This may change if conditions worsen, so, you can check with us for the latest info.
When masks, bell covers, or instrument bags are required or desired, the internet has many places to purchase them as well as instructions for making them yourself. Here are a few options. (We haven't tested these, just found them online.)
To purchase: musician masks bell covers flute masks
Do it yourself: masks more masks yet more masks instrument bags and bell covers
